AN UNSTOPPABLE RUN by andrew FOLLOW ME ON MY NEW TWITTER @AJZSPORTS
The Uconn Mens basketball team just completed an unbelievable run. This all started back in the beginning of the tournament. A seven seed seemed so unlikely to win the trophy. Then suddenly it was Elite Eight time. Uconn said goodbye to Michigan State. Then in the final four another upset as Uconn said bye to Florida. Lastly, they hit the stage last night, beating the Kentucky Wildcats and making history. It all really started with Shabazz Napier and Deandre Daniels. Last night in the championship, the two combined for 30 points, exactly half of Uconns total points. Shabazz made four three pointers, had three assists, three steals and six rebounds. After this season he will await for the NBA draft where he will look forward to a great career. Congratulations to Uconn and especially Shabazz. 4-8-14 THIS IS A SPECIAL ADDITION NCAA BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT ARTICLE. a year to forget by andrew
This year the all star Brooklyn Nets would like to put this year behind them. With newly added Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and more the Nets were sure to have a great season. However, for them it seems to run in the city and they are not the only New York sports team looking to push this year away. First off their NBA rivals. The Knicks aren't having a great year either. As of 12-31-13 the Knicks are 29th in Rebounds Per Game and 25th in the league about Points Per Game. Next the Yankees. They were close to to making the playoffs but didn't. Their crosstown rivals didn't go to the playoffs either. The mets were 29th overall in Batting Average. They were 23rd over all in runs. These are not great statistics. Next the NHL. The Rangers are doing okay this year but not in Goals Per Game. They average 2.3 goals per game. This is not enough to keep up with the league. Lastly, the Islanders. They look atrocious this year. They are 29th in Goals against and 21st in Goals per game and that is not a very good combination. They are currently 12-21-7. Overall this is not a good year for New York Sports fans.

The kings stun the heat by jack
The two consecutive NBA Final winners, the Heat has been stunned that The Kings topped them by five points.
There is 20 seconds left. Isaiah Thomas shoots and misses. Lebron James gets the rebound he wastes out the clock. Shoots the last shot, zero seconds left and… misses. Game goes to Overtime. Before you know the KINGS are winning 94-102. Quickly, Lebron makes three, three pointers and the score is 103-106. The Kings still lead. This is their only chance. Wait there is a foul. Roger Mason Jr. draws a foul on Isaiah Thomas who makes both of his free throws and the Kings Stun The Heat, 103-108.
Everyone thinks that Lebron James is the king of the NBA and on December 20th 2013 when the Kings stun the Heat by 5 points he did show he was like a king to basketball having 33 points and eight assists and was 12 for 23 on shooting. He did get hurt. However, it was only a day-to-day injury. (Groin Injury) The rest of the team tried to work around him but it just did not work. Maybe if they tried a little bit more they could have won. For the Kings there are three names that were beasts in this game, Rudy Gay, Demarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas. Rudy had 26 points, Demarcus had 27 points and Isaiah had 22 points. Surprisingly some players didn’t play for the Heat. These players did not play. Chris Anderson, James Jones, Ray Allen AND Joel Anthony. Who the Kings had out were Hamada Ndiaye, Aaron Gray and Ray Mcallum. All the Kings that did not play people were coach decisions. The benches of both teams did not do that well. The Heat’s bench only had in total 28 points when the Kings bench only had 21 points.
